Just in time for Thanksgiving is my review/photo gallery of the Liberty tree tavern, where the traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner is served every day. This is a family-style restaurant with a colonial theme. There are no choices for dinner or dessert. The family gets served everything on the menu, which for us included a salad for an appetizer;  turkey, pork and beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, chutney and macaroni and cheese for the entrée and sides; and The Johnny Appleseed’s Cake for dessert. This was a great option for us as everything was peanut-free.

The Johnny Appleseed's Cake — white cake filled with apples and dried cranberries — was made in the tavern so there were no worries of cross contamination as there often are at bakeries.

For those with other allergies, the waiter did mention a gluten-free options to another table while we were there. As with all Disney restaurants, just ask the chef.

Again, our table receipt noted that we were dealing with a food allergy.  I preferred the “special diet” note at Chef Mickey’s.  The red “Allergy” felt like a scarlet “A” to me.
