Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot (Dining at Walt Disney World)

Breakfast is served family style at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, part of the Norway Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase, is one of two places inWDW where your little princess can dine with Disney Princesses.  Each table gets one free picture with Belle, which is a nice perk. For those on the dining plan, the meal is only one sit-down meal credit. (Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom is two.)

Breakfast is served family style and each table is served  eggs, bacon, sausage and a potato dish. Read the rest of this entry »

Chef Mickey’s restaurant is located in Disney’s Contemporary Hotel, just a short monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom. At Chef Mickey’s, you will meet various Disney characters as you dine. We met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. They serve breakfast and dinner; both are buffets.

Chef Mickey and other characters meet and greet diners.

It is well worth noting that if you are worried about cross-contamination at a buffet, you can ask the chef to make something special. Read the rest of this entry »

Where Dreams Come True for Kids with Food Allergies

Walt Disney World is a magical place. The best thing about Disney? Stress-free dining.

I have found the chefs and staff at Disney to be very allergy aware.

My husband John, daughter Jessica (who is allergic to peanuts and other legumes) and I first visited Orlando  as a family in November 2008, Read the rest of this entry »
